Consumer Message

Pathway Remodeling is a “conscience” builder ensuring energy audits are in place, “pre and post” with their renovation projects.  Materials extracted from refurbishment projects are taken to “reusing” sources within the community.

Recognition Summary for Consumers

As a community builder Pathway Remodeling is evolving towards being a definitive source for educating consumers interested in implementing environmental alternatives within “retrofit” and new home  projects.  Sources of “sustainable” materials and fixtures are being identified for the consumer as “environmental alternatives,” particularly for energy savings.  Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) building prouducts is an example as a sustainable alternative.  See www.fsccanada.org and the wood products tab.

Consumer “link(s)” to an initiative

Pathway Remodeling utilizes a “third party” evaluator for their own clients, see

ongoing education, training and technical support to their inspectors as well.

www.grassroots.ca.   Grassroots®, a Canadian company  has an established, record in the inspection industry of offering a wide range of services.   Grassroots provides ongoing education, training and technical support to their inspectors.

Pathway Remodeling recommends educational resources found on, Google, “NRCAN Heating Equipment and Controls.”

Example

  • Energy efficiency application.

The company stands by the question:  “Are we efficient?  The third party (Grassroots) will audit the installation(before and after) of vapour barriers to ensure there are no leaks or gaps.

Other Consumer Resource(s)

Next Steps

Pathway Remodeling has purchased a septic tile bed company that will remove phosphorus and phosphates prior to entering a field bed.  This will be an environmentally advantageous attribute complementing traditional field beds.
